What is even more confusing about Intel's new naming scheme is that if I remember correctly, the numbers aren't an indication of performance, but refer to features of the processor. I'm not a huge fan of AMD, but their numbering scheme makes sense, they wouldn't be able to sell processors...

Any experience with building one yourself? ( Very simple, and can save yourself a lot of money, they are nearly impossible to assemble wrong if you aren't intentionally trying to. ) The computer you linked to should work well for the purposes you mentioned.

101 has to be a little off to get the best signal on 110 and 119. In regards to the original question, 101 should have signal on almost all transponders from 1-32 ( some will always be in the 30s or 40s ), I think 110 has signal strength on lower transponders, and 119 on higher ones...

Remember, you can not diplex the wire running to your cable modem with satellite signal onto the same wire, it won't work.

The signal can take up to 3-4 seconds to update, especially on the type of dish you are using, and, on some receivers it will actually freeze if left at 0 signal strength for too long, and you will have to switch between transponders to see any change. Running a line straight from the LNB...

First, make sure that the foot that it is mounted on is level. Using a compass and standing near no metal, find 148.3º. Walk around the foot until you are facing 148º and the dish in a straight line from you to 148º. Line the center of the back mounting part of the dish up to 148º, tighten...

Also with a multi-switch, one faulty receiver can screw with the others.

To get good signal strength on the extra 2 in my area the signal strength usually only gets up to 85ish on the main one.

About the rooms that you want the other receivers picture in, I'm not sure if it is a universal charge, but we are supposed to charge $45 for each outlet without a receiver, but are supposed to let the customer negotiate down to $25 or so in order to get the installation finished.

I have installed several antennas that attach to the dish made by Terk, and they seem to work pretty well. How many outputs are you needing on the multi-switch?
