    Anticipated bills after first year?

SomeDishGuy: Thank you for your response! You're correct about the DTV price tiering... On month 13 I was hit with a $30/month price increase and I was hit by a bit of sticker shock. Wanted to make sure that wouldn't happen again. Thanks!

    Anticipated bills after first year?

Doh! :). I'm looking at the Americas Top 120 that is 49.99/mo. One TV with free Hopper upgrade and HD. No premiums or protection right now. Thanks!

    Anticipated bills after first year?

So I'm a cord cutter looking to go back into the pay-TV market -- it just got to be too expensive using iTunes and most online media outlets are starting to become pay-sites for Cable. Anyway... Where I'm at I"m stuck with either satellite or Cox... Cox is simply too expensive for too little...

    Is HD radio dead?

I was one of the people suckered into the HD Radio bandwagon. Here in Wichita, KS (primarily owned by Journal Broadcasting and Clear Channel) it is being pushed heavily still. Most of the stations that touted they were broadcasting in their HD studios, well, never had their HD stations online...

    Only get one polarity?

Well it looks like the problem is fixed... although I'm a little puzzled by the results. The driver that came with my TwinHan card evidently has some sort of a voltage/polarity problem and doesn't switch out of 19V. I updated the driver off the website and the card is now switching. I find it...

    Only get one polarity?

Ah sorry about that.. I didn't realize there were subtopics under FTA. I'll pay better attention next time :) Kelly

    Only get one polarity?

Yeah I figured that much :) I just wondered if there was some setting in ProgDVB that I needed to set that would tell the card to switch voltages when the polarity is changed...

    Only get one polarity?

Okay I'm at a loss on this one... and I just realized it tonight that it was happening. I just setup my system consisting of a TwinHan 1025 card, no name 33" dish with a Zinwell Digital ZKF-F21N FSS KU LNB. According to the manufacturer this LNB is a dual polarity LNB but I for the life of...

    NOAAPort on Ku

I wish I could :( I live in an apartment complex (for now) and I'm sure they wouldn't want a 5 foot+ dish mounted on my patio :) Thankfully I'm on the ground floor... *dreams* Ah the days of when I had my Winegard 7.5 mesh... Kelly

    NOAAPort on Ku

voomvoom: Yup... I've seen it :) Its not quite the same thing as it is a 137MHz feed coming from the GOES satellites that provides satellite imagery and such... The NWWS feeds provide NEXRAD data, GRIB, and other data formats that are used by the various forecast offices around the country...

Photoman: Thanks for the update. I'm going to see about contacting the company directly and see what kind of information I can haggle out of them :) I'm going to download the lite version of TSReader because, well, it looks interesting but looks like it could provide some useful information...

    NOAAPort on Ku

I already have the equipment and the TwinHan card does support multicast data (through their TwinHanDATA program). The receiver I will eventually plug into is an International Datacasting SR-2001B multicast receiver. The base system that CDC sells consists of a 1.2 meter dish, Ku LNB, and IDC...

Well given this is my first post... I'll say that I'm not a spammer and my name is Kelly :) *Hi Kelly* Okay now that my intro is done... So I've picked myself up a 33" dish with a .5 LNB and have it hooked up to a TwinHan Sat-Express card in a PC. I've successfully (and after much...
