I don't think Dish is being upfront with people when they push products without full functions. Both Netflix and Amazon have 4k content. Isn't that what the 4k Joey is supposed to do? My 'other half' is so far beyond being technically adept at anything, she just found out what Bluetooth...

Just out of curiosity (I don't live in an apartment), but if they will not allow you to make a non-destructive mount to the railing (simple clamps), or screw it in to a wall or something, how do they get the cables from the patio/deck inside without drilling a hole in the wall...

Thanks for the explanation of some of the technical terms. Question remains, will DTV reception on a moving vehicle be better or worse than it was with analog TV? My options for antenna are for maybe a 'boomerang' type or internal radials on front and rear glass.

The only snag I see in your drawing and explanation is twofold. yes, on either VCR 1 or VCR2 you will have to go component cables AND audio in. (5 wires). On the other VCR, you can still use the S-VHS or RCA composite and you MAY have to split the audio with a "Y" cable unless EACH input...

I had that problem too (drift), and they sent a tech out within 48 hours and swapped out the old 1000 for a 1000.2 with all new LNB's. They left the old stuff and said I could keep it for all they cared.

Which one? 110, 119, or 129? They were just out here less than a month ago replacing all the LNB's due to 'drift' exceeding 9. Check Switch and Signal strength all look fine... or as best as it's been with Zero Drift.....
