Danger when standing in front of Hughesnet dish

That's the reason I don't log on to this site anymore than I do. Instead of people logically discussing broadband satellite, they misconstrue and warp what you say, then attack you. Real friendly constructive atmosphere here. I'll check back in a month or so.

I never said a FCC license was required, maybe bad choice of words, certified HNS is what was implied.

Man, some people hold a grudge. I did not say that you "carry" a FCC license, I simply stated that the FCC, in the end oversees HNS's spectrum (as they do any wave). And, that is the reason you need a licensed installer. And, in my opinion, you can get "sick"at the least. While running a manual...

I saw your reply, and had to answer.

    HN9000 relocation (how?)

This is the HughesNet Thread, right? How do we keep steering off course, with a ridiculous pissing contest? And, you never did answer the question, are you a certified spokesman for the FCC?

    HN9000 relocation (how?)

Just as I figured, you are retired and no longer do this stuff. I thought your information seemed a little antiquated.

    HN9000 relocation (how?)

I like the satellite interference statement, although it doesn't make sense. The only bird you can point to is the one you define in the parameters, as stated, which prevents the so-called interference. As far as interference goes though, that's what the ACP function is for, to ensure proper...

    HN9000 relocation (how?)

And Greg, I didn't realize that you alone spoke for the FCC, and know what they are and aren't concerned with. You must have some real pull in government, huh?

    HN9000 relocation (how?)

The thread title is HN9000 Relocation. HN refers to HughesNet, Hello?

    HN9000 relocation (how?)

I understand that, Greg. If the FCC is not concerned, then why is there warning stickers on the RFU? Yes, I understand that you have an in-depth knowledge of satellites. I'm talking about HughesNet, not the high-wattage stuff you're referring to. This is the broadband forum about HughesNet...

    HN9000 relocation (how?)

My bad, you're right. I'm so used to telling customer's that you have to be licensed by the FCC, so that they don't try and mess with the system. You only require a HughesNet Installer ID to install or service a HughesNet system. The whole point I was trying to make is that the difference in a...

    HN9000 relocation (how?)

Elchucko, YOU have no idea what you're talking about. The MotoSat systems use a GPS system to automatically point the antenna, removing the human element, which is why you have to be licensed by the FCC to install/repair a non self-pointing system as they emit microwaves. The MotoSat's, et al...
