Well, my most watched are Caddyshack (is this out on BR yet?) 300 Rumor Has It (bad movie, not sure why I watch it so much) Superman 2 Donner Cut (cool new cut!) But really, Caddyshack has them all beat by a mile. I've watched that movie so many times, its embarrassing. :) -John

OK, I guess I'll just have to get used to it. :) I've been with Netflix for a while, but had a chance to try Blockbuster again. I guess now I remember why I ended up choosing Netflix in the first place.

So is Blockbuster having issues this week, or is it just me? I mailed back a movie Monday, they got it Tuesday. And they still have not shipped me anything else yet. I'm on the 3-out plan, and it only shows me with 2-out.

How can that be? I login, and click browse selection, and can still browse HD DVDs. I'm not a member, tho. "HD DVD Netflix carries nearly 400 HD DVDs"

So does the $2/mo Blu-Ray price increase also apply to HD DVD? Just wondering, as I'm not currently a Netflix subscriber, if I reactivated my account if I would be charged extra for my HD DVDs? -John

I don't think so. Component can only handle 1080i, HDMI does 1080p. There are some exceptions, as some TV's component inputs do 1080p, but most are 1080i.

That's the non-HDMI version of the 360, tho.

Watch out using that obsolete word, you'll get panned. :) Anyways, I agree. Its not worth saving $50 and losing all that functionality that 2.0 provides and quick future upgrades that the PS3 provides. Still seems like the PS3 is the best blu-ray player out there. -John

Thanks for the review. I wonder if the response on the Harmony remote will be better? Sounds like what is expected of a budget player. Seems strange to connect a budget player up to a higher end audio reciever capable of decoding advanced audio, but that just my opinion. :) Bottom line...

This post is active, because the Magnavox players are easily found in any Walmart store for just under $300. Someone on here needs to buy one and review it so we know how well they perform. So far no one has stepped forward. This player doesn't meet my requirements, so I won't be that...

True, I guess. 2.0 is really more of a feature set, but ethernet firmware updates are much more convenient than burning a disc. Just look at how often the PS3 is updated. Seriously, tho. Why bother saving $100 and losing so many features that the PS3 offers (just for blu-ray playback...
