Problems with PC and iPhone today

In a corporate environment, "The Boss" doesn't have to. He has an IT staff to do it for him or her.

    Deactivated client stuck on HS17

Have you tried doing a Menu restart of all devices? (Menu>settings>Help>Reset/Restart>All Devices) That may make the HS17 forget about the C61K. If that doesn't work, the only thing that I can suggest is to do a keyword search for CLEARMYBOX. That will clear a lot of settings, and restart...

Problems with PC and iPhone today

Having experience with regulating Internet access to and from a corporate network, it is highly probable that you are running into restrictions imposed by your employer. Their corporate network is their property and they have every right to limit it to business use. 35 years ago, when...

DIRECTV Transponder Map ~ Data 10/08/2025

"Targetted" means that only selected satellite customers can see them. DTV marketing is trying to reach specific customers, and the customers typically see them as a splash screen when they turn on their receiver or client.

Do people still watch satellite TV these days

I have 200Mbps up and down fiber here in the lowest population density county from here to Texas. I could have more speed, but that is all I need. I still prefer satellite to streaming. OTA is not an option. Hamilton County, NY has less than 5000 year round residents, less than 3 people per...

Do people still watch satellite TV these days

I use DIRECTV satellite and streaming. Some of the things I want to watch are only on streaming, but I prefer the satellite experience more.

    directv gemini power saving feature?

II have no idea. I doubt it is even possible. Too much of the design of the firmware in the Gemini depends on it being off for updates periodically.

    directv gemini power saving feature?

I think I remember you were trying to use an old fashioned DirecTV remote with the Gemini. I have used every kind of DirecTV remote over the years, and I find the Gemini remote to be superior to all of them. I especially like the voice command. When I occasionally need to use the Roku...

    directv gemini power saving feature?

I wouldn't switch the CEC off. You want them to go on and off together. You don't want the Gemini to be on all the time. If it never gets put in standby (lights off), it never can receive any software updates.

    directv gemini power saving feature?

No, I don't want to keep my Gemini on all the time. I use my Gemini remote to turn on my Gemini, my TV and my AVR receiver with the on button. And I turn them all off with the off button. The Gemini through the HDMI cable should be controlling everything else. But the Gemini remote, if you...

    directv gemini power saving feature?

in Menu>Settings>Device Management>Power Savings there are two on screen slide switches for Screen Saver and Power Saving. You can toggle the switches with the Gemini Remote OK button, or "SELECT" on older remotes. If the option is enabled the switch shows a blue dot on the right of the...

DIRECTV requests feedback from stream/internet customers about volume differences

DIRECTV is requesting feedback only from DIRECTV Stream/Internet customers about any volume differences: - Between programs and ads (please mention the channel and ad if possible) - Between different channels (please specify which channels) If you've experienced this, they would also like to...

Has DirecTV Firmware Watcher gone away?

As one of the "team of data collectors", I appreciate those comments. The owner of the site was able to promptly restore it when notified of the outage. All of these collaborative computer systems are running unattended. And we all have other interests in life, (or jobs, for those not in...

    Activation issue

I think Harshness has the right solution. You have to go through the satellite setup menus to tell the HR24 that you are not using SWM. The user interface on the HR24 is stuck in the past, and so different than what we have on Genie systems that I couldn't begin to walk you through that.

    Activation issue

That is a standard multiswitch for a DirecTV legacy LNB. You need two coaxes from that to your HR24, and apparently need to use B-Band convertors. I use that WB-68 multiswitch and a legacy LNB with my data monitoring system. I have been using SWM LNBs for DirecTV reception since I got my...

    Activation issue

P.S. I use a separate slimline dish with a legacy LNB, but not with a DIRECTV receiver. Mine is connected to Genpix Skywalker-1 receivers for gathering guide and other metadata from the DIRECTV Ku band satellites.

    Activation issue

I haven't had a HR24 in many years, but the only thing I can think of is that you will have to have two connections from the HR24 to the multiswitch. One is used for a tuner to tune to the guide channel, and the other to what you are watching. If someone else has better information, please...

    Activation issue

You are correct. Thank you for refreshing my memory. My first HR24 was installed 15 years ago. Further research discloses that The HR24 was introduced before DirecTV's shift to Single Wire Multiswitch (SWM) technology. It was designed to work with legacy multiswitch out of the box.
  21. Tom Speer

    Activation issue

The HR24 should not have the B-Band converter installed. If I remember right, the HR24 requires a SWM system. Hopefully you have no other non-SWM receivers. You will need a SL3S LNB for the sats at 99,101,and 103. SWM LNBs are recognizable by the fact that they have only one F-connector on...

    technical question about 3D2LNBR0-02

I don't have access to that datasheet. It probably was a proprietary chip made for DirecTV, I suspect it is the heart of the SWM functionality, which under control of the DirecTV receiver, switches one transponder on a specific frequency, LHCP or RHCP on one of the three feedhorns to a...

What Titanium is talking about requires a Legacy DirecTV LNB, not a SWM LNB.

    technical question about 3D2LNBR0-02

It is worth a try. But DirecTV tends to use proprietary standards for their systems. I am not familiar with Unicable, a European standard, but reading about it online indicates it operates very similar to what DirecTV does. If DirecTV uses DiseqC commands, I am unaware of it. The SWM...
