Is Hopper 3 ipaddress public ip?

Another thought I had is they were probing a known Hopper 3 port so the ISP just assigned it as trying to get to a Hopper 3 based on the port number, not because it actually had gotten a connection to a Hopper 3.

    FCC C Band Dish Registration

I was going to ask if this was 1980. Seems I remember that "earth stations" (c-band receiving dishes) were actually supposed to be registered back then. Or am I misremembering? Hadn't heard anything about this new registration for interference

    FCC C Band Dish Registration

This kind of naysaying is why people didn't register in 2018. There was a huge fee ($495 -- that's more like $1,000 now after all this inflation in the past 7 years) and people said there would be no benefit to doing so. Indeed, the FCC didn't say there would be any benefit to registering your...

Is Hopper 3 ipaddress public ip?

So what this looks like to me is an incoming connection trying to get it in and it's not trying to get your hopper 3 but rather "Dish Hopper 3" is the name of the incoming device and it's setup that way so that when you see it on your network, you won't think anything of it.

Soon to be 93 W* bird if approved by the FCC

Hopefully, it will be a satellite for us (video and radio)! Since their filing a couple of months ago to request the Ku band, I put an LNB on my 99/105 dish in anticipation. Just waiting for a signal (after approval) to tweak the LNB! We need a "new" (just a few years old) satellite for Ku...

Is Hopper 3 ipaddress public ip?

Thanks for all of the replies. This is probably not a big deal. I did change my Dish Password in an abundance of caution. Probably not needed, but couldn't hurt.

yes they do when rendering files i do uncompressed raw video it's a much faster process than with a gen 4 drive since the bandwith is double. and when in gaming going from world to world or server to server is insanely fast i'm talking about a blink of an eye. most of all i wanted the high...

    How things have changed

YTTV ( and the rest) is actually lumped in with cable and broadcast, since it is the same channels, Broadcast via a MVPD and vMVPD counts as broadcast, not cable or streaming, Cable via a MVPD and vMVPD counts as cable not streaming. here- the "other" category represents all television usage...

    Ice Pack

I remembered I have some "fake" ice packs. These are plastic containers that contain liquid which you can put in the freezer to freeze. They keep something cold until they melt then you put them back in the freezer to refreeze. I can easily duct tape a couple to my LNBF, replace the feed cover...

    Ice Pack

My experiences with dealing with thermal instabilities on LNBs and LNBFs go back several decades. I referred a friend to an oil company that was installing a 24 foot Orbitron antenna on an offshore drilling platform off Indonesia, and he provided valuable information. Without a weather cover...

    FCC C Band Dish Registration

I don't think many of us realized back then just how bad the 5G interference would be. Oh well.

    FCC C Band Dish Registration

There was a one time opportunity to apply for an FCC License that would have protected your dish from interference on C-band frequencies. This was seven years ago (2018), and does not look to ever be repeated. Any efforts at this late date that involve spending money on surveys, or application...

Soon to be 93 W* bird if approved by the FCC

Here's the link on Ku band footprint from 93 W* bird. https://www.intelsat.com/fleetmaps/satellites/satellite_59/ So far no news on whether they are going to use video and radios feeds.😎 :hungry2 :hatsoff

    Ice Pack

I would expect that lower temp of the LNB means lower noise so would improve the C/N ratio.. my experience is that I have poor view of the western end of the arc (127W and beyond), bacause they are low on the horizon and my neighbor has trees there. Even in winter when the trees are bare, I can...

Is Hopper 3 ipaddress public ip?

The only other thing would be if your Router was configured to allow mPNP and the Hopper would be able to open ports in the Router’s WAN address.

SiriusXM to Launch Ad-Supported Plan for Less Than $7 per Month

Those of us who've been here since the beginning were paying for ads. Sirius was always 100% commercial free music but XM had ads on roughly half of their music channels originally. It was about 5 minutes an hour, the same commercials over and over, and most of the advertisers already had a...

Is Hopper 3 ipaddress public ip?

Yeah I misread that, that's a Monaco IP, thought it was 192. This is a known malicious IP, which is why the software proactively blocked it for you. Scanning for accessible servers and services to exploit is common, and likely is the kind of traffic that was blocked here...

Is Hopper 3 ipaddress public ip?

Scott... the note from the isp identifies an incoming attempt to the Hopper. Outgoing to malicous sites is on a separate blocked log. So it's definitely incoming. I had another thought... I do sometimes use Dish Anywhere, and I know that Dish had some breach a while ago. I don't know if...
