I was able to scan 40W with the regular and T2MI drivers. I went for blindscan first. And then after adding, verifying them in my satellites.xml file. Performed a channel scan. The regular driver would not display Canal Trece and Canal Trece +. Switching to the T2MI driver does. So that answers...

There are still no plans for DISH to make a ATSC 3.0 OTA Adapter.

The OTA dongle allows for a separate OTA ATSC 3 dongle to be developed and used. No need for building such into a much more expensive H3.

No it does not change it on the Hopper 3. You do get the Hopper Plus UI but that is through the Hopper Plus. If you don't like the Hopper plus just unhook it and you will be back to your original Hopper 3 experience. (And the Joey 4's will still work without the Hopper + hooked up) :)
