    SES-1

SES1 at 101W here can be received on my 7.5-foot Perfect dish. The footprint near Vancouver is a couple of dB lower at about 39 dBW than on the east coast. Previously, if I tuned azimuth, elevation, LNB skew and placement just right, then I could lock and receive the Weigel channels without...

Only thing to make it better would be to lower the DVR Equipment fee. That box is a beast.

EchoStar Announces Spectrum Sale and Commercial Agreement with SpaceX

while i think there's nothing more to add to the hopper 3. there is one thing that dish could change to make things easier. having a leased box on your acct to get the new customer wheels and deals and promo's should not be a requirement. it makes no sense what so ever to have a leased box...

Stab vs Digipower Motors: Which to use?

I now have two motorized Ku dishes. It's nice to catch a little farther on the eastern arc side. Regarding the MOIO syndrome, have you tried resetting the Digipower and also ensured the cable isn't too long resulting in low voltage at the motor? On my Stab, USALS works better than moving via...

Stab vs Digipower Motors: Which to use?

My SG2100 has never worked consistently with either of my receivers. Like it has a mind of its own lol. If I had a STAB HH motor I'd probably take another stab at setting up a ku HH dish :biggrin

i heard of people swapping the HDD out for an SSD and it made the hopper faster!!! ill agree the wear and tear on the ssd would be murder because of all of the read and writes they would have to figure out how to fix that if they could. the hopper is the best in class DVR box everyone else uses...

    Pixelation on local channels

Doing the same thing in Sioux Falls, SD. It is doing it on all of my locals. If I switch to OTA they are fine. Seemed better yesterday. Being that is so widespread, it must be a Dish problem.

EchoStar Announces Spectrum Sale and Commercial Agreement with SpaceX

Don't think that would be good due to the number of read writes the Hopper does all day long. And don't think the user would see any real difference in speed. I think they made the Hopper 3 too good. I know quite a number of people who cut the cord then came back to Dish just because of the...

What would you add to a Hopper 4? For me I can't think of many things the Hopper 3 is missing. If I made a Hopper 4 it would be an Android Native receiver, and would support Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos and maybe add a red recording light to it.. (lol) what else is missing?

EchoStar Announces Spectrum Sale and Commercial Agreement with SpaceX

Everyone I talk to is amazed that I am getting voice, text, and data for $15.09 per month. The coverage is great. Ordered! Veteran discount was $110 off retail price. The order page was 30 minutes late coming on line. The trade-in is credited after you send in the older iphone. There was option to charge to the Apple Card for the 3% cash back just like my other Apple store purchases. I had to select...
