SES-1

SES1 at 101W here can be received on my 7.5-foot Perfect dish. The footprint near Vancouver is a couple of dB lower at about 39 dBW than on the east coast.

Previously, if I tuned azimuth, elevation, LNB skew and placement just right, then I could lock and receive the Weigel channels without pixelation or dropouts at just above their minimum lock value of 9.4 dB. Daystar for me locked at 10.44 dB at that time according to scans done in June.

I'll swing the dish around today to see what I can receive now and re-scan the Weigels.

You live just 5 miles from the KFFV over-the-air (OTA) transmitter in Seattle with a METV channel mux . I receive a relay of this channel mux and it contains much of what's on the 101W Weigel channels. Wouldn't it be easier to receive this OTA with a simple antenna than 101W?
