Darn it, I just shipped my last 922 off to the guy that asked for one 3 days ago.

Can Anyone Ship Me A ViP922?

He doesn't want to activate it, he wants to use it to view the channels an unsubscribed receiver will still show. There's like 3 new user accounts that have shown up in the last few months with the same request.

It may finally be time to say Good Bye

You didn't answer my question, but since you ripped all the coax out I would have refused to install due to lack of sight due to trees. You can figure out how you're going to get TV back with all the coax you ripped out :biggrin

I don't believe so, if I did it must have been transferred quickly because I remember it being relatively painless.

I think you're right about the one being a rebadged RCA, I think it was the 34" CRT.

Got a new to me tv!!

No, they were selling two different HD TVs. I believe one was a CRT and the other an LCD? I want to say it was a 34" widescreen CRT and a 42" LCD. It was around that time even Gateway Computer stores were getting in on the HDTV action.

    EchoStar / Dish’s Path Forward

I agree, this is what they need. A lot of people going to streaming like channel numbers and want a remote with 0-9 buttons.

Got a new to me tv!!

It's just a prototype, it was never released. They came very close to releasing it, but by the time it was ready the price of DVD players had dropped considerably and they weren't able to produce it at a competitive price point. I think I remember some of the remotes ended up on ebay.

    EchoStar / Dish’s Path Forward

That would be the smart thing to do, sell it to TPG and let them milk the last few years out of it.

Move a dish about 15 feet...

I used to take the foot off the J-mount and use the through bolt to clamp it around the pole.
