Why would Spectrum cut ground wire?

That's because they don't want former customers reconnecting themselves thinking they can get something for nothing.

Why would Spectrum cut ground wire?

I also assume that is the standard procedure to prevent signal leakage from a cable that may or may not be terminated at the residence. This doesn't remove the Spectrum coax as a possible source of stray incoming current, and that's where this boggles. They did. See the photograph.

Why would Spectrum cut ground wire?

As I noted earlier, whenever a cable enters the home, its "ground" part must be earthed. The question remains as to why it was cut, given that the Spectrum cable is still connected.

Why would Spectrum cut ground wire?

The "right" thing to do would be to disconnect the red cable from the grounding block and walk away. What does the green plastic tag read?

Why would Spectrum cut ground wire?

Earthing is a requirement when the cable is connected, but it may be a liability when the cable isn't connected.

Why would Spectrum cut ground wire?

Even underground coax must be "earthed" at the entry point. I'm surprised that they would bother disconnecting anything at the house, as they usually do that at the branch connection in the hopes that there may be a connection in the future. Did Spectrum remove a grounding block, junction box...

Bell TV getting out of the Satellite Business

The point of LEO isn't about creating any surplus anything. It is more about dividing up everyone's pie to serve a few outliers. Frequency reuse isn't a thing with LEO, as the satellites will often cross paths when there are many thousands of them. The technology is already an eyesore for...

Starlink is available throughout Canada. It appears that Rogers is reselling Starlink cellular service. The other tech billionaire is still saying late 2025 for "rudimentary service" with 153 of their planned 3,200+ satellite mesh. One site says that the Amazon network is looking to be fully...

    What are you Watching?

The one that has really jumped the shark is Abbott Elementary on ABC. I'm still liking High Potential, and I'm trying to hold on to Shifting Gears. I haven't started in on the CBS stuff (Ghosts, Matlock, Elspeth) yet. NBC hasn't debuted its comedies yet.

WSL makes for a fairly lousy server, as everything is run under a virtual machine and with emulated disk volumes. It really takes the stuffing out of both Windows and Linux. WSL is perhaps more for software development than anything else.
