Of course it's not legit. Dish has sued some of the companies selling these boxes but I haven't seen them go after users yet. I wouldn't chance it.

I keep seeing advertisements for an android box (I wont mention the name) that can stream all kinds of content. Some of the video's I watched lead me to believe that these boxes can stream paid services without paying. How can that be legal? I suspect it is not.

This has been our exp.. when we had charter we also had 5 fiber providers in our area. we used to call in and cut throat them with the competitions rates and we got big discounts since they did match prices ;). imagine if there was no competition!!!

it will be interesting to see if charlie turns the hoppers into streaming boxes over time kind of like the old Tvision service with set top boxes
