Well, for one, the SciFi Channel is in HD in Canada, but not in the US yet. That could be one that they are trying to get. I hope so. I know there has been talk of broadcasting it in HD here for a while now.

I take it you mean the Theater 550 and yes it is supposed to have a great PQ, but it won't do HD. They do have a digital TV card but it won't allow HD input from an external source either, just OTA digital broadcasts. No other company has one either for now. Sorry.

Truqui, it's possible I guess, but not probable. I, for one, think it could be a good deal for Voom to have someone with that kind of experience at the helm. Who knows what Chuck will do if he gets control today......it might be an interesting twist, though, don't you think?

This is obviously a retailer trying to get sales. They seem to not know the difference, (or care about the difference) of buying the hardware and the entire Voom enterprise. Is it possible they know something that NO-ONE else knows? Probably not.

Shawn, this has been discussed before and Voom is aware and working on the problem...the short workaround is to call up the guide (press the VOOM button) then press the view button and that should clear up the artifacts. If not, I just cycle the STB off then back on and then it goes away.
