    AMC 21

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! My son is coming here for the Thanksgiving weekend and I hope he will go out on the roof to adjust my dish. Presently it only works right towards the Eastern part of the sky. Please can anyone tell me which is the strongest transponder on the satellite at 125W...

    AMC 21

You are probably right about the tracking favoring the East. I can see my son is going to make an expedition up onto the roof when he is here next weekend. Meanwhile, can someone tell me if there is a particularly strong transponder on AMC21 to help in locating it. Mind you I also need to buy...

    AMC 21

I wonder what I'm doing wrong? I'm getting 12140V 30.000 strong on AMC3 but not at all (nor anything else) at 125W with the same receiver. I'm located at 122.5W 37.5N (near San Francisco). Is the LNB setting the same (Universal 1 9750/10600)? Or am I just being slow? thanks, Holly

The receiver I was using is a cheap Fortec Ultra, but I have another receiver I used to test by replacing to...

    Most robust rotor?

After about 2 years service, my FTA disk Rotor decided to pack in over the Holidays and is firmly stuck at the extreme end of it's travel. Attempts by me and my son to get it working again have come to naught. It had been giving problems for a year, "forgetting" its settings every week or three...

    Holly, new

Hi, I'm Holly, I'm new here, I'm a single-parent 58 year old in Northern California raising a teenage boy. I immigrated from England about 25 years ago and I'm now a semi-retired law student! I used to be a technical writer in Electronics so I know one end of a cable from the other:-) I have a...
