    Verizon buying Frontier

It doesn't matter how wonderful fiber can be if all you have access to is cable. I'm currently getting 130Mbps up on Xfinity's 150Mbps plan, and that's more than enough for most uses that are in accordance with most ISP's AUP.

Happy New Year! The future of SatelliteGuys

Excellent choice! I would eventually bite the bullet and make everything be tvguys.us. Have the current URL(s) redirect so that things are normal but you really want to have one brand. DSL Reports (later Broadband Reports) really hosed that up by keeping things separate.

Happy New Year! The future of SatelliteGuys

Never gonna happen; that ship has sailed. The government is hell bent on selling off what's left of C-band and providers are moving to fiber. Dish Network is hanging on by a thread and losing customers rapidly. I love this hobby as much as all of us here, but the writing is on the wall. KU will...

Future of C-band Radio Content Distribution

I already have the info, but it's not very useful. Here's the link: https://www.antennasearch.com/HTML/individual/regTower.php?registration_number=1331235 It looks like it's just been sitting there completely built for months. IF it's true they are simply waiting on fiber install, they...

Future of C-band Radio Content Distribution

https://www.rabbitears.info/kb/identifying_cellular_equipment That tower above is completely constructed and ready to go, but not active as of yet. It's definitely Verizon. I tried posting some pics I took of the tower, but for some reason, this forum turns them ALL sideways! Nothing fixes it...

    How things have changed

Not Television related, but similar- The Atlanta Journal-Constitution printed its final physical newspaper Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2025, marking the end of a 157-year era for the publication. The move makes Atlanta the only major U.S. city without a daily printed newspaper...

Future of C-band Radio Content Distribution

I'm still learning and open to new ideas and ways of thinking. What spectrum block do you think would be better suited for sub 6 5G in lieu of c-band? DoD was limited to only 40 MHz nationwide from what I understand. And DoD can be aggregated with c-band to provide even more capacity. I know...

    2025-26 College Football

SEC owns them as well (going back to the BCS era). That's what happens when you play in a conference with only 1 or 2 good teams. This is why the Big Ten wanted to get 4 guaranteed bids, they knew they couldn't earn that many.

Future of C-band Radio Content Distribution

In New Mexico there are plenty of areas away from major roads that have zero cell phone coverage because of the mountains. Our previous home had a weak 4G signal from a Verizon tower 15 miles away. Zero signal from any other provider.

Future of C-band Radio Content Distribution

Tsk Tsk... according to some, you'll just be "normiecattle who use inferior mobile providers (AT&T or Verizon)" because, dontcha know, T-Mobile is the BEST in the MIDWEST!! 😂

DOCSIS is fine for download. It can’t deliver the upload speed of fiber.
