Mine kept flashing a blank screen about every 45-60 seconds audio was not interrupted. Only about 1/2 second long but irritating. The Joey 4 did not seem to exhibit this quirk.

Not really, if the connection is tenuous extreme cold can shrink the center wire enough to pull it back from the connector. Make sure your stingers are adequate.

Could be the center wire in the cable shrinks back away from the connection in cold weather.

That would have essentially made it a 722. Don't compete with yourself. Back in the VIP622/722 days we had a 622 and two 211s. We could (with a bit of difficulty) swap the HDDs between the 211s (sneaker net).

It takes time, but you should set up a password on your Hopper and lock out the channels you don't want to see. It's under parental controls. It lists every channel you are able to view and you can move them from the unlocked to the locked column and they disappear from your guide...

IIRC the OS on the Hopper is a version of Linux , so you might be able to connect both the drive in the new Hopper and the drive from the old hopper to a Linux PC and if you can find the files on the old drive copy them to the appropriate folder on the new drive. The method you tried will not...

I believe you are misreading your bill. The reduced price for owned equipment is not time related, it is a flat price just like the leased price. $5 for an owned Joey and $10 for an owner H3, no time limit. The 24 months is the time frame of your price freeze on programming.
