    ERROR 400 Cookies too large

Good point, thanks for clearing that up. Since both Chrome and Edge are both based on Chromium though, it's not surprising they might both have the same cookie issue.

You do know that Edge is Chrome based, Right?

    Help identifying antenna

It reminds me of a ChannelMaster I bought around 40-45 years ago. No idea what the model was.

    Dish is dead to me.

I have dropped a few seldom used streaming apps, but not for the cost savings. I just wanted to free up some memory on my Firesticks.

    Dish is dead to me.

When we were on the road in our RV, there were times we streamed on just 3 Mbps. Not great, but it worked. Anything over 5 was usually pretty solid.

    Anybody have Starlink through Dish?

We have Spectrum available here but there's a known problem with the underground cable up the road from me. When ever heavy trucks pass over a particular spot where the cable passes under the road, we get a several second service drop out. It's been an ongoing problem for over a year now, with...

Dish options now without program guide

You could just install the same apps locally though. I don't have any 1st gen Firesticks left, so that problem didn't occur to me. I hadn't heard of Roku getting a DishAnywhere app, but I haven't really kept up with what Roku is doing. My Roku TV works quite happily with one of my Max...

FCC Bans Foreign-Made Routers as a 'National Security Risk'

My new Gen3 Standard Wi-Fi router was made in the Netherlands, and the power supply was made in Vietnam.

    Old satellite system

I don't recall the brand of the receiver I had back then. But once I programmed in the satellites for the programming we subscribed to, changing "channels" was a simple button push or two. There was the delay waiting for the dish to get there of course. Since I installed our dish on a side hill...

    Old satellite system

One of our neighbors had his no longer used 8' fiberglass dish aimed straight up with several duck decoys perched around the edge. Looked like a giant bird bath. A new owner finally took it down.

Dish options now without program guide

If you have a Dish Hopper system installed at the Delaware location, you could install the DishAnywhere app on a smart TV or HDMI adapter, Firestick, etc, and watch the Hopper programming in MX. Both locations could independently watch whatever your subscription carried. Locals would be an issue...

What will I do after satellite changes?

I installed an EA dish a few years ago at a fellow's mother's country house. I think the WA had a clear view as well. The son though, had an apartment with no view, so he paid for mom's Dish service, and used the DishAnywhere app to stream programming from her Hopper to his apartment.

What will they send when it's a building blocking your WA sat view? :)

What will I do after satellite changes?

It shouldn't be all that hard to come up with a multi-channel app with an interface similar to the Hopper. Using the existing Hopper base of course, would remove the need to replace any hardware for the change over.

What will I do after satellite changes?

I don't know of any reason the existing Hopper series couldn't do that since it all ready has some streaming apps on board. Have you tried any of the Dish like streaming services like YTTV, etc. that are very similar to the Dish user interface? When I switched from Dish to all streaming, of...

What will I do after satellite changes?

I would think the ulterior plan might be to move to all streaming at some point given the decline in DBS viewership.

What will I do after satellite changes?

If the 2029 EA cut off date is accurate, I have to wonder if Dish is working on a "full package" streaming service offering all of the usual Dish channels. It could be an expansion of Sling TV, or an entirely new package, but I don't see Dish completely abandoning the many EA subscribers that...

What will I do after satellite changes?

The biggest problem in northern Maine was the 129 sat, which of course is no more. For 110 and 119, it's more the usual clear view issues, trees, buildings, etc.

What will I do after satellite changes?

If it were me, I think I would make sure I'm not on contract as the cut off date approached.

What will I do after satellite changes?

Yes, the lower WA angle can be a problem in the east. Except that sometimes that's the only clear view.

What will I do after satellite changes?

Changing apartments might be just a bit easier. Actually, I don't know if he's even still living there. The point of course, is that a clear WA view could be a problem almost anywhere. I've installed WA dishes in the east, and EA dishes in the west to get around sat view issues.

What will I do after satellite changes?

The WA clear view could be a problem anywhere. I installed an EA dish years ago on a fellow's apartment balcony. No chance of re-aiming there.
