    New Install, new equipment?

I think their focus is all on cell phone service, getting the financing money to expand out to 75% and to keep the bankruptcy from happening as long as they can. I don't think that they see them selves being a TV provider much longer. The way churn is accelerating each quarter there won't be...

EchoStar/Dish raises doubts about 'ability to continue as a going concern'

For a while, but once 2000 hit the yearly price hikes and assorted fees started coming every year and haven't stopped yet.:smug

EchoStar/Dish raises doubts about 'ability to continue as a going concern'

My son bought his first used car when he was in Florida in the Marines. He has been getting emails and phone texts and now snail mail from XM over and over again for the last 4 years. The other day I delivered his mail under his door in his room and I put the Sirius XM mail on top and I went...

    Auto Hop?

No it is by the individual program recorded by Prime time Anytime. For legal reasons they want to make sure the viewer answers that question so it doesn't look like DISH is skipping everything automatically without consent. The networks really want you to watch the commercials. Also the...

EchoStar/Dish raises doubts about 'ability to continue as a going concern'

Typically , urban areas have high density buildings , while suburban and RURAL areas have low density housing. Low density housing typically refers to residential areas occupied by single-family homes or buildings with a small number of units. Low density neighborhoods are generally more...

EchoStar/Dish raises doubts about 'ability to continue as a going concern'

They have said for the last year that the rural areas are what will be a boogaboo, because of covering less dense areas. Less dense and rural are pretty much the same thing. Rural areas are not full of a large population like cities like L.A. California. "DISH has a deadline of mid-June 2025...

EchoStar/Dish raises doubts about 'ability to continue as a going concern'

IF DISH doesn't meet the 75% deadline to build out their cell phone company in June of next year they can lose all the spectrum that they have paid for up to now. But they need lots of money to finish the build out of the towers in rural areas, so it all comes back to money. I don't see them...

EchoStar/Dish raises doubts about 'ability to continue as a going concern'

I just don't want to see people taking care of their personal hygiene needs on TV while I am eating, thank you very much. Like the commercial for Lumi body deodorant that was playing non stop for a while back. For "Pitts, underboob, private parts" and the male version Mando so you can...

EchoStar/Dish raises doubts about 'ability to continue as a going concern'

Wonder if they tried to work some kind of deal with Amazon or Google? Or put their bandwidth up as collateral for another loan to get better payments or interest rates? There has to be someone that would step in if they could get a percentage of ownership of the stock. But Charlie doesn't do...

EchoStar/Dish raises doubts about 'ability to continue as a going concern'

The latest commercial that gets me is the one with a black woman in her underwear telling the audience that more than her pits stink. Then at the end they say over the commercial "From your pitts to your ..." then they show the same woman spraying her crotch and you hear spraying sounds. I...

EchoStar/Dish raises doubts about 'ability to continue as a going concern'

Sling TV is losing because of many factors. There guide is cluttered and you have to use an antenna to get your ota stations for free. Not all local networks are offered in all areas. Also many people have decided they don't need live TV like satellite and cable provides. You Tube TV is...

Autoplay - how to turn it off?

This feature works much like Netflix when you end an episode and the next one is up in 5 ,4 ,3,2,1 Plays. I see this on just about all the streaming services with multiple episodes. It is like a binge feature. You can alway hit stop when it appears on the right hand side of the screen and it...

    Please DISH get METV back!

Since DISH and SLING TV are both owned by Dishnetwork and now Echostar why can't DISH use the same guide information as the Air Tv does? I get complete guide information for all my ota channels using the Air Tv Anywhere 4 tuner ota device and I can use Sling tv with it all in one guide. It's...

Random DVR Recordings from 2016 Came Back

Two Hopper 3 with 10 Joeys

OK, I'll bite. Why do you need so many dvrs and joeys? Are you running a hotel? I don't have that much I would record and when I had the Hopper 3 with DISH, I never used all 16 tuners at the same time except to test that it could record 16 things at the same time.

And he bought it for $44 billion and it's only worth $12.5 billion as of January of 2024. Real good investment huh? That is a 71% decrease from the price Musk paid for the company in 2022. He is running it straight into the ground. :smug
