I'd like to add that beIN Sports is currently not carried by Directv, Uverse nor Directvnow.

It was expected. They stopped giving promotions to new subscribers and they knew they were going to lose subscribers. I actually thought it would be higher.

How are you connecting the two routers? My understanding is that receivers have to be on the same network. You should use the same SSID and disable DHCP on the old router.

And Dolby Digital is now on. I turned it on today and it seems to be working just like it does on the FireTV.

I think it will. I'm currently getting Dolby D on my FireTV with Directvnow so I think it'll be coming.

I’m currently testing the “little android box” and I must say it hasn’t been a very stable device. Kept rebooting on its own, turning on the TV in the middle of the night and not finding the wireless network when turning it on. I stopped testing it for now but may try it later when they fixed...

I know that people that subscribe to DirectvNow were getting unlimited data with their Internet service from AT&T but this is the first time I hear that unlimited Internet also applies to Directv subscribers.

Three FireTVs here with 70 for mbps speed for Internet, rarely see buffering with Directvnow. I must say I did see buffering earlier last year but not anymore. I wouldn’t recommend Directvnow to my 80 years old mother though. Streaming is not for everyone.

I'll enjoy the savings while we can. :D

That’s funny, I’m coming back to Directv too. I only lasted about 3 months though. Tried Directvnow, Sling and Comcast, none of them worked for us. Directv kept calling me and I finally asked what they could offer. The deal was too good to pass. They’re coming next Saturday to install.

And no remote so they’ll have to get up to change the channel. [emoji3]

I cancelled on Monday and received an email last night. They want me to bring the HR44 to a UPS store or FedEx and the store will package it and send it to them. They don't want the HR24s. I now have 4 sitting in the garage.

Called to cancel on Monday and all they offered was $15 credit for 6 months. I'm now with Directvnow after 24+ years with satellite (Dish and Directv). Just waiting for the boxes to arrive.

I don’t even watch SD channels. I see that’s SD and I change the channel. [emoji1]

I read somewhere that it’s only for the initial setup and it then works through WiFi afterwards. I haven’t done it so don’t take my word for it.

When I try RVU on a Samsung tv, it says that I need a wired network connection to use RVU. TV is on WiFi and it detects the Genie through WiFi
