Seems like that might explain why some stations in a given market are not carried by Directv but not why an entire market is passed over. Unless maybe most of the big 4 stations (NBC, CBS, ABC, FOX) are holding out.

Absolutely HDMI. Even on my lowly 720p TV I see a very noticeable degradation using component. Don't settle for faulty unit. Make them give you a replacement.

I have one OTA channel that sometimes displays a window that says my HR20 is searching for a signal even though the picture is there with no apparent problems. When I go to the signal strength meter for the OTA antenna this station is 100% on both tuners. Happens quite often but not always...
