Enter to Win: Sponsors Super Satellite Sampler System - Contest Ends 2.28.2010

Contest participation I got interested in FTA because commercial TV in general is so bad that I had to justify myself spending hours with the TV. At least I can claim to myself and others that I had to adjust the arc of the motor, or the angle of the LNBF, etc. Otherwise, watching TV without...

    Pansat 9200 w/ S2 8psk Addin Card

any alternatives to the pansat 9200hd? I have an old pansat 3500s that gave me acceptable results over the years. I'm ready to upgrade to a HD 8psk receiver and I'm leaning towards the 9200hd with the new pansat 8psk card. The whole thing will be about 400 bucks. Is there any better and/or...

combining satellite and OTA signal in a single coax

I think that TV UHF used to go up to channel 83 which was at 890MHZ, but I remember that they limited that to channel 69 max (806MHz). I guess that it wasn't changed when digital TV was introduced. So I don't know if the IF range of the LNB would get as low as 900MHz, but isn't it somewhere in...

combining satellite and OTA signal in a single coax

Hi, I have an FTA setup with a rotor and a 3500S pansat receiver all working fine. I would like to add a regular OTA antenna to get local channels but I only have a single coax line. So I have a few questions: 1. What would be the most convenient way to combine and select which service is...

cost of an FTA Ku channel

From the 2 links you sent, there seems to be a big discrepancy: one says between $13k and $18k (and even less) and the other, once the total in a month is calculated comes out to be about $311k. Is that difference related to some technical issue or other? Thanks

cost of an FTA Ku channel

I am wondering if anybody knows how much companies such as Globecast charge for a 24/7 FTA Ku channel on a satellite such as G-19. Thanks. Daniel

    Problem with vertically polarised channels

The arc is OK since I can go from 61 to 148 without a problem. All birds had the same problem and my settings were OK. Without any specific reason I decided to re-load the code and the problem went away. I imagine that when I did that there was some kind of reset. Thanks anyway. Cheers, Daniel

    Problem with vertically polarised channels

Hi, I have a pansat 3500 with a rotor, a 120cm dish and an universal LNB. The problem is with G18 that has most channels polarized vertically. These sometimes show no signal, but if I switch to a horizontally polarised channel (e.g. Pentagon), the reception is perfect. Did anybody observed this...

    stab 120hh returns to zero

Reading the manual of the stab 120hh I found part of the answer to my question. It says that it has internally memorized software limits at +- 50 deg. So in my Pansat 3500S I don't see anything about limits in the USALS mode. However in diseq1.2 it says disable limits but it doesn't do anything...

    stab 120hh returns to zero

Hi, Sorry if this question was already answered but I'm new to this forum. Here in N. California I installed a 120cm dish, with a quad invacom LNB, a 120hh stab rotor and a Pansat 3500s. Everything works quite well. As I search for the T5 or G10 birds the signal are good. But the problem is...
