FWIW, The following channels are still listed in the directv.com TV listings as of this writing: 290 DIS1HD 292 TDISHD 601 NBAHD 621 MSGHD 624 FSNYHD No sign of NHLHD. But then again, probably none of this means anything, but it's promising that they're listed in the guide.

I got D* to give me the HR20 for free last night. Just had to pay the $20 for shipping. Tried to get the discount on the Premier package too, but struck out on that one. It appears that mentioning FIOS gets the reps attention. ;)

FSN-NY HD is also owned by CV and is only trasmitted via cable like MSG-HD. Until CV transmits the channels via satellite, CV doesn't have to offer the channels to sat providers. FWIW, only CV systems in the NY area get those HD channels. They're not on any other cable system that I'm aware of.

At last check, MSG/FSNY-HD were only transmitted via cable and not by satellite. Because of this, CV is under no obligation to offer these channels to any DBS provider.

CV is the worst for TV. Although their internet service is actually very good. TWC in NYC hasn't been showing either MSG or FSN-NY on their systems because CV is trying to hold TWC up for the same $$$ for less pro teams on the channels.
