I installed my H3 May 7th. It downloaded and has maintained U309. Don't always believe statements posted here in the absolute.

In my H3, when I open the Menu and select Search, most of the times it finds whatever I was looking for. If it can't find any instances of that search in the guide it gives me the opportunity to record it when it becomes available.
