I would like a Hopper 3 upgrade!

I bought a Sony XBR49X830C last night at Best Buy for &799.00. I would have liked to have gone larger but 49 inches was the largest I could go and still fit in the armoire. The picture difference is incredible with Dish broadcasts. I have not tried it on a 4K broadcast.

I agree From Dusk to Dawn is tough to watch in SD.

I have Hopper with sling a Super Joey and a Joey and it all works great! One Hopper limited me greatly in recording especially during Prime Time but with the Super Joey I rarely run into recording problems.

Component will work fine but if you upgrade to Joey, there is no component connection. You can buy a converter to convert HDMI to component and the picture and sound is great.

I am having the same problem. The app does not see my Hopper.

I cannot see EHD online. However, I can see recordings on hopper including primetime anytime.
