    Caught in a Receiver Bind

Okay that is good to know and makes sense. Once I have a DVR upstairs it will free up a lot of recording space on my 722 thus making it unnecessary to have the EHD downstairs as well. So Dish's unwillingness to upgrade my received is actually a good thing for me as I'll save money in the long...

    Caught in a Receiver Bind

So that is the crunchy I've been looking for. I have a 1gig HD I just bought to attach to my 722 downstairs. So you're saying if I pay the upgrade fee and plug it into the 211 it will suddenly act like a DVR and I can record and watch? If so most excellent (since I was already going to pay the...

    Caught in a Receiver Bind

So I added a 211 to my account last November. I let my wife pressure me into doing it for her stupid sister (who no longer lives with us - thank god). So now I want to swap that receiver up to my bedroom and my new TV. I wanted a DVR so called to ask what it would take to get that new receiver...

    Sound "Squelch" and picture hiccup

So it started a couple of weeks back (around the time of the Turbe "Upgrade"). I now get random sound squelchs. Loud and squeeky at random times during a program (live or taped). It is paired up with a screen jumble then everything is fine. Has anybody else experienced this ? Thanks Dave

WANT to view a 3rd TV

I have my TV 2 split in two. I ran a short cable off the fnial splitter (that was heading upstairs to my bedroom) and split into two to drop one downstairs in my den. Called CSR and said my kid has bashed my TV2 remote (I was still on the free year of their service program thing) and they sent...

Getting a new deal under wife.

I believe contracts are based off address not the name it's under. So I doubt using your wifes name would work. Having said that I went through something similar and you can get the new subscriber deal it just takes some work and CSR roulette. The cost to retain you for a new contract length...

    DISH HD Only Package

If you're contract is up you can get that new subscriber deal. You just have to lean on them enough and get bumped up to a specialist. I've done it twice now. The cost to replace you is a lot more then giving that package and keeping you locked in for another 18/24 months.

    DISH HD Only Package

Now that sucks. You used to be able to add them for $5 (and heck I'll take SD versions if I have to but don't want to miss my Cavs games). It's not a deal breaker though. Thanks Dave

    DISH HD Only Package

Cool that's what I thought. So it'll run me another $5 to add those on but I'm saving $24 going from the 200 package plus HD down to this one. So still a good deal. Thanks

    DISH HD Only Package

So I have a few quick questions on this (and figure I'll get better and faster answers here then actually talking to a service rep). Locals are extra - I get that - will I still get all the locals even if they are not HD ? I'm guessing yes since I'm paying extra for them (4 of my 6 locals are...
