I agree with what you are saying, but, IMHO, it seems that ESPN has been moving extremely slow on this regard. They've been on the air for over a year, and yet the "World Wide Leader" still only shows 3 live "events" a week...

I disagree, dgordo...IMHO, it seems that only the Football highlights are in HD, while all other sports highlights are still SD. I know that there are several regional sports affiliates currently broadcasting NBA Games in HD, but I haven't seen those Highlights in HD, and the San Diego Padres...

I think that the frustration comes from D* HD subscribers that view TNT-HD as an important channel to have. Regardless if D* said they would carry the channel or not, as a D* subscriber, I feel that TNT-HD offers lots of compelling content (see NBA + some movies) that I _really_ want to watch.

I've heard "rumors" that if you tell DirecTV that a certain receiver is for use in a Motorhome _only_, that they will give you the national channels, but not the local channels. (Note: I've never tried this, so YMMV, but it may (or may not) be worth the effort)
