    Playlist in software version L621

Have to disagree with that. The thread you refer to has always been for software announcements only. Quick and easy read. It should remain that way for the next person interested in doing it. Discussions were always held in other threads.

    Playlist in software version L621

Ummmm, might want to check out that thread Jim. RandallA has quit doing it, and there is almost nothing on L621.

    HD Absolute - how long?

#12 here. Anything added is an appreciated bonus, but I doubt I'd ever watch much of it. I could care less about FoxNews or the Viacom mostly stretch-o-vision package. I can't seem to find any national HD launching anywhere on the near horizon that would coax me to leave Absolute and nearly...

Dish HD Absolute and new HD

As a matter of fact, I'm also an absolute customer so this thread should have been of interest. I have every right to troll if I wish. That does NOT give you the right to use this forum as a trash talk outlet! I'm very confident that the vast majority of people on here will agree when they...

Just got HD ...WOW ... a quick question however

Hugh? Are you saying that the feeds coming out of, say, the HBO uplink site is not meeting ATSC standards(mpeg2)? Its compressed before the signal ever leaves HBO. Not to mention the studio equipment required to handle uncompressed bandwidth. Please, reliable 1080p compressed broadcast...

    Ciel 2 Tracking

Yep! Thanks to you Digiblur we get an easy to read, timely report on the Uplink thread. All of the background data and graphs (from another Smith thread) tell me nothing I'm interested in. Dish will make channels available when they are ready. That is the information I want to see in an...

What happens to DishHD Absolute after Feburuary 1st?

Programing N/A I have the exact same thing as you Jerryez, and all of mine also say N/A. Like DigiBlur, I'm satisfied with what I have, and don't see anything on the immediate Horizon that would make me change from Absolute. If I am forced to change, or my price goes up substantially I'll be...

    Software Version 6.16

Unfortunately no. Recorded NCIS Tuesday eveining on my 722(L616). Sat HD CBS feed was the worst I've seen yet. It was not watchable. At least 1 audio drop (1 to 2 secs) every 2 minutes. 1 audio drop with a Video freeze about 10 minutes in. Had to go to "live tv" to escape, then back to...

LOL:up Best one I've read tonight CJ!

    Hire that CSR!!!!

Sticking with absolute I agree with you 8bit. It's going to take a lot more than that assortment of HD channels Charlie may be adding to get me to give up my absolute pack. It's a great variety of channels for the price that has more than I can possibly watch anyway.

    Dish 622/722 L6.15 Issues Thread

More info on L615 in St Louis After using L615 a few days now, I have more issues than previously thought with recorded material. While the audio drops have improved on Fox and ABC, they were made MUCH worse on both CBS and NBC HD 1080i. Not only that, a "skip" has been introduced where the...

    Audio problem - 622

NOT TRUE! In th St Louis market L615 was released a week ago (by zip code - see update thread). While the drops have improved on Fox and ABC, they were made MUCH worse on both CBS and NBC HD 1080i. Not only that, a "skip" has been introduced where the stream will freeze and sometimes...

    Dish 622/722 L6.15 Issues Thread

CBS in St Louis Recorded CSI tonight on my 722 with L6.15. Watched it (or tried to) after recording finished, and the audio drops were the worst i've seen on any of the channels to date. I counted 8 in one 10 minute period. Recorded on #6454 CBS sat feed. I have not had any pixellation or...

What are these channels? (pic) - (6201-6206)

There has been postings about these on other forums. They are for the MPEG4 transition, as the originals were marked so only VIP receivers would see them This was on 8/14: CHNG 9420 TNT MPEG2 HD Tp 7 EchoStar 8 110w AVAIL HD MAP 138 TO 9420 TNT MPEG2 HD VIP Tp 7 EchoStar 8 110w AVAIL...

1080P TEST AND FIRMWARE VERSION L613

If what you say is true, then there are serious flaws in the approach that Dish is using to deliver the 1080p VOD. Consider this: In many households (like mine) family members work different hours and shifts. It is not unusual for my receivers to run 20 hours a day for viewing. What you...

Post your HDTV EDID, if you can't get the 1080p "IAL"

That is not what the OP said in his post: "There is REAL way to help Dish developers - post EDID data from your TV." Seems fairly clear to me. The real point is - If dish engineers think they need EDID data, I think they are more than capable of figuring out how to get it on their own. They...

Can't get 1080p on my 1080p set. What gives?

The point is: Dish network HDMI capable receivers had better already be doing the required functions for HDCP regardless of any VOD issues. If they are not, shame on them - it's their problem to implement. That should have been done a long time ago. Why would I waste my time doing that?? I PAY...

Can't get 1080p on my 1080p set. What gives?

What does this mean? Makes no sense to me.... As far as HDCP: HDCP data is already available for the test from the Diagnostics/HDMI analysis module - no further testing should be required, simply query for the data bit.
