Has a new version of this receiver been released yet? I'm looking for a receiver that pretty much would do everything that this one advertises to do and was actually about to order this from Sadoun however from the looks of it, a new receiver is on it's way. Any news?

I think that I will try out my version of the connection. Worse case scenario, I have a feed from the 118.7 dish straight to my receiver and one from the DPP twin LNB into the other feed of the receiver.

The setup is not being done in the US. I know that the programming from the 118.7 can be obtained via a KU Circular LNB as I am receiving my international programming from it (a direct line from the LNB to my 301). I wanted to get the Gold250 programming along with the international programming...

Based on where I am located, it would be pretty hard to get a tech to come and do that for me ;)

Anyone know of a possible way to get away from the credit check, or will it always be a requirement at setup whether or not you are leasing the units from DirecTV?

Here's another issue, at least for those north of the border - how do you circimvent the credit check at the activation stage? Is it always a requirement of DirecTV to run a credit check on new customers? Is one required if you already have the receiver in your possession and do not need one...

All I am saying is that I would rather continue to have my DirecTV account than my BellTV account. It's just like a lot of southerners in this forum who prefer *C or BEV rather...

Those of you who are Canadians who have had your DirecTV programming shut down, did you have any issues with your credit card company at all with regards to additional programming payments, or once the service was done the payment requests just ceased? My DirecTV account will soon be shut down...
