I just installed dish+ system given by my friend who cancelled the service 5 month ego, but before I order for programming , I was wondering if Dishnetwork offers any discount or at reduced rate on one of their programming packages ,say classic bronze 100 for those with hardware already installed?

I asked some of you with dsr-4200v if they can receive some mux and all said works fine except one channel with no audio. However mine gets that audio fine but the problem is that I get all audio but no video at all. Anyone out there who can shed light on this issue? TIA __________________

I have one pre-authorized and one brand new 4200V and none of them gives me video. There is definitely something I am not doing right. I wonder what could it be??

The signal sure gets locked and all the channels displayed on receiver match to that of vpid indicated on lyngsat (100 200......720 800 850..) but it seems it`s not downloading a VCT as I can`t get the "real " channels. Hope your signal gets better and try again later. Thanks much!!

Thanks B.J for your reply. Yes I did reset it to factory default and I then went to setup menu and then to manual tune with all the appropriate setting and I get excellent signal quality.

I`ve been trying to program a free digicipher channel ( MBCD and MBC America on AMC 1 TP5) on DSR-4200V but to no avail. Is frequency I used, which is 1350 ( 5150 minus 3800) correct? If not, just how do I get the right frequency to be used on this receiver? Is there anything I could have done...

I get Bloomberg on 4dtv so does on dsr-4800 but can`t get it on 4200v. frequency 1270.000 sr 29270 3/4 I believe all the settings are programmed right. What could have I done wrong ?

I don`t know about these receivers, but I had to put mine (dsr-4800) in DC2-I mode to finally get the signal.

Just realized of battery issue on 4dtv, does commercial receiver have same issue? TIA
