Lifetime Movie Network no longer in Choice package?

Thanks for confirming -- that's a big help. I have no idea when/if I ever had this channel -- my wife likes it though and only reported it "missing" a couple of days ago. But, I guess it's possible she thought she was watching it, but was actually something else ...

Lifetime Movie Network no longer in Choice package?

Thanks for the info. Hopefully someone with Choice can confirm whether or not they’re still receiving LMN via satellite — just curious if this problem is unique to my account.

Lifetime Movie Network no longer in Choice package?

721 error when turning to 253. If I'm looking at the same channel lineup that you are, I did notice that for Choice, it says that LMN is "satellite only." I'm actually have the opposite experience, where I'm only getting it on the internet.

Lifetime Movie Network no longer in Choice package?

Wondering if someone else with the Choice package can check to see if you are still receiving Lifetime Movie Network on Channel 253? For some reason it is now "grayed out" on all four of my DVRs -- tried refreshing and restarting them, but no dice. I ran through all of the channels that I...

Special Hurricane Idalia Coverage on DIRECTV Satellite

Thanks for the info -- much appreciated. In thinking about this particular situation though, the uplink and/or spot beams are part of the DirecTVs final distribution to customers -- the issue here appears to be with the path the local stations use to get their signal TO DirecTV. Example, when I...

Special Hurricane Idalia Coverage on DIRECTV Satellite

Thanks. I just tuned in and now seeing WFTV (Orlando) for the first time — it’s also stretched SD.

Special Hurricane Idalia Coverage on DIRECTV Satellite

Can you expand on the meanings of LABC, SWUF, and NEUF? What would be interesting is if someone here is in the Tampa area, if they could report what they‘re seeing if they tune to WTVT or WFTS. If they look like “normal” HD, then we would know that DirecTV has access to those feeds,

Special Hurricane Idalia Coverage on DIRECTV Satellite

No problem. I’m trying to make sense of this myself. DirecTV is obviously getting feeds from these stations, but for many many years, you’d be hard pressed to find a station that originates an SD feed. If someone downstream desires SD, they create their own downconvert. For that reason, it makes...

Special Hurricane Idalia Coverage on DIRECTV Satellite

I didn’t see a mention of that in this thread, but that wouldn’t seem to explain since local stations don’t uplink their signals to DirecTV. Rather, the station provides the signal via fiber and/or DirecTV picks it up off-air (with an antenna) at a local receive site in each market.

Special Hurricane Idalia Coverage on DIRECTV Satellite

This is a mess right now — some local channels being presented as stretched SD, others window-boxed SD, and some HD.

General question about how signal loss manifests...

Sorry for the late reply but for some reason I didn't realize there were replies in this thread. I blame myself. Anyway, I have no doubt you're seeing SOMETHING, though exactly what I cannot say. That's what makes this an interesting hobby -- everyone is a little different as far as what they...

General question about how signal loss manifests...

I've never really taken any time to critically evaluate the quality of the satellite vs stream, but did so this afternoon. Equipment used was an HR54, Apple TV 4K, and LG 27EP950 4K monitor. Sources were sent to the same HDMI input using a patch cable. I have 200 Mbps cable internet...

Can a deactivated HR20 be reactivated later?

I was hoping this was the case. Appreciate the info!

Can a deactivated HR20 be reactivated later?

I'm thinking about deactivating a leased HR20. Pretty sure they won't ask for it to be returned, and assuming they don't, I'm wondering if I'd be able to reactivate it in the future, should the need arise? Thanks!

    Limit of remotes on HR54-700?

I don’t know if this will help but I have five RC73 remotes paired to my HR54. In addition to that, I also control it with a Harmony remote. Update: Discovered that although I *thought* had five RC73s paired, it turned out that when the fifth one was paired, it un-paired one of the others. So...

52.0 remote no longer controls Hopper 3

Thanks. I’ll let him know to keep at it, though he’s become convinced it’s dead.

52.0 remote no longer controls Hopper 3

He told me just now: “The SAT light never blinks. Lights steadily when you push or hold the button, and that’s it.”

52.0 remote no longer controls Hopper 3

Thanks for the replies. The antenna is intact — I just had him remove and reinstall it in case there was a poor connection. Didn’t help. On the Sys Info screen, the remote doesn’t show up, and won’t pair. At this point, he’s thinking he may need to try a new remote.

52.0 remote no longer controls Hopper 3

I'm trying to help a family member with a problem and wonder if anyone has thoughts on this: He has a Hopper 3 and a 52.0 remote. Last night he had to power down the Hopper in order to move it to a new shelf. Upon powering it back up, it works fine -- except that the remote no longer will...

    Check Your Picture Quality?

That happens to me as well, with an HR54 connected to a Denon receiver. Doesn’t happen all the time though — just occasionally. Haven’t been able to figure out a reason.

DIRECTV app available on Apple TV, Roku, Amazon Fire

Same here. I have an Apple TV in some rooms that don’t have DirecTV boxes, so this makes a nice addition at no extra cost.

DIRECTV app available on Apple TV, Roku, Amazon Fire

Thanks for heads-up. I installed it on Apple TV and it works great. Pleased to see that the news and sports channels are streaming in 60 fps — very smooth motion, as good as watching the DVR.

Signal issues on 101 hd channels?

I experienced this as well, on three receivers. All signal levels looked good, so I started suspecting the LNB. Swapped it with a spare but the problem remained. Checked back a little later and everything was OK.

    DiSEqC position adjusting and storage

I’m in need of a little guidance. For the past few days, I’ve been messing around with a new Edision OS mio+ running TNAP 4.1 and figured out a number of things, but this issue is confounding me a little bit. Can someone tell me the proper sequence of events to go through in order to store a...
