I have been a customer of theirs since 1994, and no deal for me either on an upgrade..

I wish to upgrade some of my receivers to DVR's but I do not have phone line access in each location I want a DVR. I do have Ethernet in one of the locations. So the question is will the DVR work w/o a phone line hook up, if not will it work with Ethernet? Should I buy from D* or outside...

The audio is ran via Optical Cable and yes Dolby is enabled. I will have to go through the audio receiver and see if there are any auto-sensing settings.
