    Thanks for all the advice, It was right on. My own confusion was the problem. The inline amp did clear up some tiling but mainly it was that I had the wrong cable end in my hand. Again thanks for the needed encouragement and info. the freshman:)

    This is where it's at now: The satellite dish is aimed at 99W, the polarity is set using the analog receiver skew, the satellite cable is hooked directly to the 3500 but there is a gender adapter between the cable lengths, the 3500 is providing the power to the LNB.     Thanks, the traxis is fed the dish signal through a splitter which also feeds the analog receiver. the traxis then feeds its signal to a monitor via RCA jacks. The LNB settings: at user: 1st freq. 5150 2nd freq 5150.

    It is aimed at Galaxy 16(G-R4) at 99.0 West. The analog channels come in excellent on my old C-band receiver. The Traxis 3500 can't find anything with the AutoScan feature. Where do I go from here? Mqmshore p.s. merry christmas
