Probably would not have to go as high as congress.. the FCC already "gives" the networks the airways for free, they do have to pay some fees but not a direct user rate. It would seem that them selling something that is already given to them should not truly be allowed. No question about it...

Kind of sounds like they are rethinking Turbo HD and would like us to become dissatisfied with it and change to some other package that would cost more. The ONLY reason I went with Dish unstead of Direct was Turbo HD.... This is completely off the unreasonable chart IMHO... Bad Dish...

When I signed up, I was told that "any new non preimum HD offerings would automatically be included in the THD Gold package... Surprising that they would NOT include HD version if available.. maybe they forgot to pay the bill? :cool:

Won't we see EchoStar 129 W replaced with something else once it's C-2's signals?? (Id on the aim dish screen) I'm seeing somewhat higher than normal signal strength here on the almost west coast (usable 99% of the time, usually above 30, below 50 for all TP's).. Will be home in a day or two...

Fairly common with my 722 in the bad beach location (at my GF's in the 'couv, it's fine) I'd have to say, probably 25% of the time when I try signal strength with "aim disk" it locks.. *might* be a function of low signal.. don't know but my neighbor at the beach has same problem. Sometimes...

Same thing in Vanc WA Been seeing somewhat the same thing in Vancouver, WA. Although, it was snowing earlier, we had signal drop after the snow and none of it was nearly as bad as a month ago and we never lost signal then. Sure looks like they are either doing something, or not doing...
