Nope Turbo HD Bronze here, NickHD is in red. 170 is Green with "available for purchse" (by moving to Classic).

For sure, I actually have Turbo HD and i use Dish Prepaid for those days I want to watch something on a channel that I dont have. But i dont watch them enough to justify upgrading my package to Classic + HD. I suspect Dish may also not like the GDMP reload, since they are only getting pennies...

True, there are providers running full 1920 × 1080 but compress it (using MPEG2) so much that it macroblocks constantly (and looks very very soft on static images). I'd take less compressed HD-Lite over that pixelated (Full-Resolution) garbage anyday.

Actually isn't just 119 ok at the minimum? I don't recall ever seeing anything pre-paid coming off 110. There are also people here using Single LNB dishes (pointed at 119). The prepaid activation signal is also beamed from 119.

On the flip side I think they may want to tread lightly in this area. If they negotiatiate SD carriage in Turbo, then maybe other content providers might start to impose the same conditions. In the end it could end up basically back to Classic Bronze. Now of course I want the missing channels...

Actually the site has been updated, you'll notice it now lists Comedy Central, Country Music Television and Spike HD on the Turbo Packages. Also under Gold WGN has been pushed a bit into the Platinum HD Picture :D

This was also brought up on the other site. Apparently Viacom can stipulate in their contract that certain SD Channels must be included in the bundle.

As long as the reciever is the 301 (has the Dish Pro logo) it will work with the 1000. It will just ignore 129.

For Nick there is some, not a lot but some, Madagascar Penguins and iCarly are in HD. I would also assume movies would be in HD too if available. But the principle is people who want to switch to Turbo, you don't get the SD counterpart obviously so you end up loosing the channel and that's why...

For sure, furthermore it doesn't even make sense that Nick is available in their lowest package (DISH Family) and not Turbo HD.
