    I hate to say it, but its done for :( Hard drive failure on the 622 and 722 receivers are a very common problem, and unfortunately there is no way to recover the recordings once lost.

    DHPP can be add and removed at any time. If you need a new remote or cheap service call, just add it that day, then drop it the next.

    If you call DISH they will provide you with a new remote. If you do not have a warranty, point out that you have been a customer for many years, and if your billing is good, they will waive the cost.
