If signals good at the dish, ive seen bad ground blocks and connectors cause this. and a select few seperators. i would make the reciever the last resort after everything else was checked first.

if you cant get a better strenth call dish to send a tech out,they will give in on the service charge if you just tell them it quit and that you dont know why. if they try to charge tell them you will just "cancel" THEY WILL OVER RIDE THE SERVICE FEE.

also try running a temp cable from dish to reciever through window or door, being sure that it's rg6 to see if this corrects your issues. Also, check the current to be sure that it's rg6. Rg59 WILL NOT CARRY THE 18 VOLTS TO THE LNBF.

check all connectors for aluminum braid contacting the stinger, went to service call months ago for this prob and after 2 hours of trouble shooting found this to be the a/v issue...
