    INT 34

Strange can't find anything online being announced. Seems everything even the scrambled stuff has vanished. Not even sure what bird to scan to start looking.

    INT 34

Anyone scan 55 lately? Are any of the Peruvian channels there still? Not sure if it's my dish or if they moved to a new sat or tp. Thanks

    Restoring 10ft dish

Yes, I did that at my buddy's place years ago, we put one dish with the actuator on the right, then on the other side of the property we put another dish with actuator on the left, so he had both sides of the arc, I think we got down to 5 or 11 degree's? I don't remember it was a long time ago...

    Signal loss over coax. Solution?

What brand cable is it? I usually recommend rg-6 solid copper core up to like 80' or so, on longer runs just go with rg-11. What connectors are you using? I use PPC compression connectors. Not sure if you have interference problems? Maybe some quad? I've never had to use quad personally.

    Restoring 10ft dish

Just make sure not to pop it out the tube but if you set your limits you should have nothing to worry about, if there is nothing on the lower end you can play with the clamp to basically make your first bird near the limit on that end. Some dishes I set up with friends when the dish went to far...

    Buying a 36” ballscrew actuator

I know Thomson Saginaw was once hailed as king. I never had a ball screw but have used the Von Weise actuators and they are quite. What size dish do you have? I never seen much of an advantage going past 24" I go from 30-139 with a 24" Venture Maxi I've had running for many years now.

    Restoring 10ft dish

Personally I like using like a 6" OD pipe then welding a 18" length or so reducer on it. Will never shake in the wind, Ever... Remember to weld a flange on the bottom or bolt through to prevent spinning. There use to be very good literature available online with pics and everything but I am...

    Norsat 5150 vs 3120

Yes a orthomode feedhorn would give you the best reception. Though keep in mind, the dish size and dish/feed alignment is critical. 3120 is a very nice lnb with a very solid LO stability level, but it's pricey...

    Replacement for old C/KU Feedhorn

Ya your c-band should still work. Before swapping might want to spray everything up the day before. And then again the same day and hope you can get things loose.

    Replacement for old C/KU Feedhorn

Thats odd these things last forever lol. Just a question, is your c-band working right now? If the ku antenna is not turning the rod may have snapped but the c-band polarity should still work. You have pics? You should be able to swap out the feed no prob. You have tripod feed support or button...

    What Norsat LNB is best?

The best would probably be a PLL but I have the 8115 have had it for years, better LO than the 8515.

    Linear/C-pol switched feed BUD project

That is pretty impressive. Mine is 30-139.

SPECIAL REPORT: Is Stealing the NEW WAY of watching TV?

These iptv things are all over the place and are very popular, it reminds me of the pirate fta days, with hundreds if not thousands of different brands/models, same thing except all via the internet, and the capability's of these things seem to be endless.

12 Foot Vs 10 Foot Dishes...

I would get a quality 12' in a heart beat, go for a commercial grade 10' or 12', it's worth it.

Is the MicroHD still being supported by the company that produced it?

Oh never looped mine but read people complain about these issues. So if that’s all working then it should be good then.

Is the MicroHD still being supported by the company that produced it?

Well I hope they fix the issue with metv and movies plus the loop issue.

    Hispasat 30w in London Ontario

Have you set up a Linear dish before? You should catch this bird easy as long as there is nothing in the way. What lnbf are you using? What receivers? The dish should be fine but you know what brand it is?

MicroHD: Pre-programmed scan vs Blind scan

My dealer suggested I do the preprogrammed blind scan edit my findings and then do the detailed blind scan and edit. This seems to pick up the most. I have not tried the normal scan though. My Micro is slaved and I have a feedhorn with lnb's so not using USALS.

    "Beer" BUD

Nice find. It could have been made there, I do know AMS (American Metal Spinning) dishes were made here in Montreal, the guy basically did a Andrews clone lol, I know they shipped bulk orders across Canada and custom labelled dishes for many company’s. If you do get a hold of the guy, or that...

Thinking of Removing Dielectric plate Corotor II+ Wideband

Have you talked to Roger at rps? I have traded in lots of feeds and lnb's with that guy over the past few years for some credit :)

    Actuator Cable

I know Roger had boat loads of actuator cable last time I dropped by, this was a few months ago, I do see it listed but it seems to be from September. http://www.rpssat.com/
