You can't go wrong with Samsung in my opinion, particularly the series 6, but your eyes will tell you which is the "one." Go to a store like Best Buy so you can see a large variety of TVs next to each other. I think most people end up preferring the picture of a certain make best.

I just dumped platinum last night. While I do find something on EPIX on rare occasion, I just wasn't watching any of the channels enough to justify the $10/month. The only reason I had the platinum HD in the first place was because it was included with HD when I signed up.

Don't do it! I started that way but Windstream continually screwed up the Dish billing and they made a HUGE mess trying to resolve it. The kind folks at Dish spent quite a bit of time fixing the mess that Windstream created and ended up unbundling me. Things have been great ever since.

Huh, when I signed up I had the same problem with one of my 722k boxes. Entering the name in the menu on the box fixed the problem for me.

Do yourself a favor and don't bundle with Windstream. I started that way and Windstream really screwed up the billing and changed my Dish account information without consulting me. Dish suggested I un-bundle and things have been great ever since!
