"Upgraded" from VIP722 to two VIP612... now unsatisfying HD

Yeah I understand moving the dish won't affect the PQ, but it will most likely help the ever increasing pixelation. And by noise, I mean when I change channels, sometimes it pixelates, then while trying to recover it will make a noise, almost like a squeal or chirp, before the picture clears...

"Upgraded" from VIP722 to two VIP612... now unsatisfying HD

Well Dish is coming out next Monday, I'll let you know the diagnosis. I am not convinced it is both TV's(and yes, I tweaked all the settings to maximize the picture on both TV's), or both 612's. I'll let you know what Dish says. I'm also getting a bit more pixelation and noise now, so I'm going...

"Upgraded" from VIP722 to two VIP612... now unsatisfying HD

I would love to blame the TV, but I still have the old TV and notice the decrease in PQ on that as well. It seems the receiver or the dish itself would be all that was left to blame. I'm starting to lean away from blaming the 612 only because it sounds as though people are happy with their...

"Upgraded" from VIP722 to two VIP612... now unsatisfying HD

How do I tell which arc it is on? It looks as though its pointing SE. Before I had one pointing SE and one pointing almost NE. I'm on the W side of the Massanutten ridge right at the base and my house is facing downhill, maybe the position of the house, with a westward facing dish wasn't...

"Upgraded" from VIP722 to two VIP612... now unsatisfying HD

For those with a 722 and a 612, do you have only one dish outside(the oblong one)? Also with that setup, do you have the capBility to watch something recorded on the 722 from the 612? I don't like having something on DVD in the LR but not in the BR

"Upgraded" from VIP722 to two VIP612... now unsatisfying HD

The VIP is set to display 1080i. That's good to know that the 55 strength signal isn't a bad thing. Any other suggestions? When I say bad picture quality, I should clarify. It's not that I see pixelation(only very rarely), but the picture just feels hazy. The color's don't "pop" like...

"Upgraded" from VIP722 to two VIP612... now unsatisfying HD

A quick background: I had 1 Sony 52w4100 in LR paired with a VIP722 (with DVR), it was great, I had a great picture quality on the Sony, and a SD signal was sent to the bedroom for an old TV. I bought a new Sony 55nx810 and moved the 52w4100 to the bedroom, now that I had 2 needs for HD, Dish...

Vip 722 Audio/Video syncing problem w/ both live and DVR'd

Yeah I can't say it's bothered me. In 2 years it has only happened twice, so thats not bad, ecspecially once you think about it as thats only once every 8700 hours and at most only lasts 1 hours after that. And yes, its run by an HDMI cable (Monster, unfortunately), but I don't think it is...

Vip 722 Audio/Video syncing problem w/ both live and DVR'd

We've had nothing but good to say about our HD setup, Vip722 with the dual TV support. Just today however, when watching live TV or prerecorded stuff, the audio and video are out of sync, and sometimes the picture freezes on a frame and doesn't progress for a few seconds, only to freeze again...
