Actually, this is different. I am asking about my 311 receivers and if they will get the SD channels (or any channels at all) with the HD only pack. I'm not asking if channels are missing from the HD pack in SD.

I run clamwin antivirus... Its free and it picks up stuff that the pay ones usually miss. Also try Spybot search and destroy and smitfraud like mentioned above...

Not sure if it would effect me since we do not have a local CW station. I see all the programs now, so I don't know why the HD versions would be any different since I have the superstation package.

If they would just get one of the REAL superstations in HD (a CW station), that would be something worth talking about. ;)

Isn't WGN America just a re-run station? I never see anything on there, like Smallville or any of the CW shows. To me, looking at the schedule, all we will see on there is strech-o-vision shows. Yippee.... :rolleyes:

I think the issue is MPEG2 vs MPEG4... You have a lot less data to reconstruct the picture with, and with HD, there is a lot more data needed to fill all the pixels. MPEG4 saves a ton of bandwidth, but you will have to live with the loss too. I think fast-motion HD is always going to have...

Just call and upgrade to the HD package. They will send an installer, take out the 522 and install a 722. It should cost $50 or so (after rebates maybe). No reason to cancel and re-order, cause it will probably cost more that way.

Yes, I have those in HD, just not Fox or ABC, since our locals are still in SD, except CBS and PBS.

Yes, OTA is the only way I can get any of the locals in HD. All I have on dish are the SD versions. Not sure who the "in the booth" guys will be... Seems like every year it is different.

Just FOX, TNT, ESPN and ABC are the carries for Cup races this year... No NBC anymore. Of course SPEED has some coverages and races too...3 out of 5 are non-HD for me... :( I am hoping maybe my ABC affiliate will be HD by the time they cover the races, but I won't hold my breath...
