Dish told me to throw away/recycle both of my receivers. It's not a big deal if I can't access the recordings, just thought I'd try.

The receiver was plugged in but not on when I canceled. When I select the dvr I get a message "This feature is currently unavailable. Contact customer service......"

I get all but the strongest local channel. I hook up the antenna directly to the TV and the signal strength is 100%, but going thru the dish receiver it won't pick it up. The receiver picks up other local channels that don't have as strong a signal. I've scanned a few times with no luck.

Thanks for the replies, the tv in the house does let surround pass thru, I guess the older tv in the shop does not. The house tv manual states the digital output only works with digital tv channels or a hdmi device.
