    Parting Gift from Dish

Ha! Never thought that this thread would receive so many comments. :-) 1) As for the $10, I get why they charge it. Though, my thought is that it's the cost of doing business and shouldn't be an extra charge. (ie. Does a contractor charge you to drive to your house? Of course, they do...

    Parting Gift from Dish

After having service through Dish since 1999, I called Dish to cancel. Dished asked why, I told them I have decided to cut the cord. (Tired of paying for channels I don't watch.) Dish asked if there was anything that they could do to keep me, I said sure, I want the following for $29.99 per...

    Print Channel Compare List

Would like to be able to get a printable channel compare list (like the below link) to show my father in-law. Any ideas? http://www.dish.com/compare-channels/?vals=AT120

    New Home Construction

Hello, I will be moving my dish network service to a new construction home in the next 6 months. Right now it's time to pre-wire low voltage in the home. A couple of questions... 1) How many runs of RG6 should I put from where the dish will go to my structured wiring panel. Last I heard 4...

    Thank you ZachS, DIRT

It's been a few months since Zach from DIRT has helped me, but I wanted to take this time a say that Zach took care of all my Satellite needs. He listened to what I wanted as a customer and delivered exactly what he said he was going to do. Zach provided the type of customer service that I...

522 Hard Drive is deceased; what to do?

Thanks, but cost is a factor. I don't need HD on both TV's (it's a want), so therefore I receiver at a lower monthly cost for two TV will work.

522 Hard Drive is deceased; what to do?

Thought of this... I do have an extra 500GB seagate HD lying around. Do you just plug it in and it installs all the necessary software automaticly?

522 Hard Drive is deceased; what to do?

Another good point by Tampa8. @ekilgus - Why would I need a hopper if I only need two TV's? The only negative with the 722 is that I only get HD on one of the TVs... I still get to view what I recorded from both TV's. Sure would I like the hopper? Of Course, but at what added cost?

522 Hard Drive is deceased; what to do?

Thanks for the reply... Yes, that plan would be to have someone else sign up after stopping service. I'm curious about your comment on how I could just get a 722. I am doubting that they would just replace my 522 with a 722 for FREE to keep me as a customer. We'll see what the DIRT team has...

522 Hard Drive is deceased; what to do?

After 5+ years my 522 Hard Drive has died. (Received a message the I had a hard drive failure and to unplug my receiver for 10 sec and replug it in. Now I get a message that states it is unable to access this feature (DVR) at this time. Data not available. <024>) Looking to see what my...

    What would you do?

Thanks for your response Thomas. Question for you. What offers does dish have to help keep Dishes current loyal customers? The only deals I ever see are for non-subscribers. How about doing something like Hilton does with there Hilton Honors membership. The more loyal you are the more...

    What would you do?

TheKrell, Thanks for your advice. I think your are correct about the the 722 being my best option. I wouldn't mind paying the $99 for the Sling Adapter, however I have been reading that it only uses TV2 on the 722. Does the sling adapter work on the 612? The reason I ask is that both TV 1...

    What would you do?

Here's the deal... I've been a dish customer for 10+ years, I am no longer on contract and could stay with dish or go elsewhere; however I'm not a fan of commitments, so I would need a great deal to commit for 24 months to anyone. (If Dish carried MLB, I might commit.) Anyway... I currently...
