Anyone have this happen when 'moving'?

I realize that, but it may make them rethink how freely they allow the "moves" is all I am saying.

Anyone have this happen when 'moving'?

Seems to me that discussing your "moves" here in a forum that is known to have Dish people watching would be ill-advised.

    herky-jerky channels anyone?

It is not dropped frames from transmission/solar errors (at least in my case)-if that were the problem then the same frames would still be missing after a rewind or skip-back, which they are not.

    herky-jerky channels anyone?

It's been happening to my 622 fairly frequently the last couple weeks. The only fix for me seems to be to skip back a couple times, then back to where I was. It's definitely happening on sd channels, but I don't recall if it has happened on any hd channels. I should mention that it occurs...

new pilots listed on my 622

You can go to amazon and download Chuck and Bionic Woman pilots (among others) for free. I watched both, and both will be added to my dvr list.

SD channels displays left/right black stripes

If you are watching an HD channel (i.e. A&E) AND the program you are watching was filmed in HD (i.e. CSI Miami) THEN the picture will fill the screen perfectly, provided that your tv's aspect settings are set correctly. Many programs on A&E and the other HD channels are not HD programs (i.e...

I believe that the $50 credit will be in the form of a rebate check, not a credit on your bill.

    L4.03 on 622

Did you see the winking smiley at the end of my comment? That was meant to indicate that I was just kidding around. You are usually right on the money with your comments. Geez.

    L4.03 on 622

My 622 was running 3.66 up until a few minutes ago-it just downloaded and installed 4.03. So much for your theory, Mr. Smartypants! ;)

    L4.02 to spool Thursday 4-5-07.....

I still have v366, and I am now noticing that my channels are taking alot longer to switch than they did when I first got it a month ago. It's almost like watching Dish on my in-laws old 1st gen receiver. I wonder what is going on...

    A&E HD To Launch Wednesday

Yes! I noticed that as well, and was quite perplexed. Gene Simmons' Family Jewels, Driving Force, King of Cars are all examples of the mysterious backtracking to SD from HD. Only thing I can think of, other than technical reasons, is that they shoot their so-called "reality" shows out of...

    Rave HD

That Phil Collins concert was also the first thing I watched on Rave. I recorded it a few nights ago and watched it. Superb picture quality. I was quite impressed.

    622 "pause bar" burn in

Suggestion: Recently, I was experiencing flickering lights when I powered up my 60" Hitachi Ultravision LCD. Ignored it at first, but it gradually got worse. Eventually it got to the point where I'd power up the tv and the breaker would turn off. So I started to worry (needless to say)...

How To Use 622 In Our Rv

My guess is yes you will have to at least make them aware, if for no other reason than to maybe have them disable the "no phone line connected" nag that I hear is there.

    sharing service

First of all, that would be against all of the rules. Secondly, it sounds like you are only getting one satellite. You should be using a dish500 dish that can collect both 110 and 119. Sounds to me like you are using an older style round dish that can only pickup one satellite at a time.

Dish HD in Northern New England?

If I had to guess, I'd say that Dish will refuse a self-install on the 622 receiver if you lease it from them.

Dish HD in Northern New England?

I just had a 622 installed today. I'm in central VT. The installer said he had no choice but to use a seperate dish500 and point it at 61.5 for this region. Hope that helps.

    508 Timer Problems started Friday

My 2 510's started acting up a few weeks ago. Seems that the 9am m-f rachael ray timer goes off ok, but nothing afterward. And now, it won't record from my distant channels even if I manually tell it to. Once the distants go away, I really have no reason at all to stick with dish anymore...

is there anyway: one cable, 2 receiver, but only one at a time

Yup! It's just like this one: http://www.pc-extras.com/prods/ctswab.html Pay NO attention to the in/out sides. If you connect your line from the dish to the OUT connector, then connect each receiver to each of the IN connectors, the selector switch will still work just fine. When you switch...

is there anyway: one cable, 2 receiver, but only one at a time

I have been running an 811 and a 510 on one cable (only one at a time of course) for a few years now by using one of those 1 to 2 a/b switches. Looks like the old 2-way splitters of yore, but with a black slider switch on the front of it that selects the line you wish to use. Whether it's...

    Dish 501/508/510 P3.03 Update

I just got 3.03 around noon today for my 510's. Only visual difference I see is the TVGuide logo that now appears in the guide w/partial video. Hopefully this clears up the problems with trying to add/delete/edit timers and recordings while there is a recording in progress...
