I'm a dish tech and the only time I've run into this scenario was because of signal strength. In that situation 129 had lost signal on the lnbf causing all the timers set to be recorded on that bird to fail and show "no info available" only on the timer schedule screen.

I agree. As a tech, I often set resolution to 1080 regardless of the TV. 99% of the time it doesn't matter. However in your case I would try adjusting resolution settings using your composite cables. If this doesn't fix it, try component cables. Last would be to replace the Hopper for a bad HDMI...

Here is a temporary band aid fix that dish gave us techs yesterday to alleviate some of the issues with Joey messages 1228 1229 black screen, etc. Warning...this will disable on demand and BB@h and other online content at the Joey, but at least you'll have TV and DVR. Again, this is a band aid...

To jbull.....the 1000.4 is actually easier to set than the 500. It has stronger signal and far better fine tuning capability.
