    Sooooooooooo Confused

Ok experts I need advise. Here is my setup, SuperDish pointed at 119,110,105(my locals) connected to an 811. I thought(key word) if I upgrade to the 622 and add the new HD channels I would be able to add a second 18-20" dish, change my DishPro 3/4 switch to a 4/4 and run an additional coax to...

OK, Here's my scenerio. I have a SuperDish pointed at 105/110/119 and want to add the Voom channels so I assume I am going to need to add a single dish pointed at 61.5 and then change out my 34 switch for a 44 switch. Am I correct? Is there any other way to do this? Thanks

    Stupid 811 remote question

I just bought a new receiver and am trying to get evrything set up. I know there is a way to set the volume on the remote to control the volume of the amp no matter which setting or mode the remote is in. The problem is I do not remember how and it is not in the owners manual. Thanks for your help

    OTA HD Question

I think I fixed it Ok, I changed the settings to 1080i. The picture is awesome, however a lot of my SD channels now come in 4:3 and I have to strech them. But it is worth it also my guide is pretty narrow. Any ideas. Also I tried DVI and component and got the same results.

    OTA HD Question

I think that is what my problem is. My Panasonic will not handle 720p and when I go to 1080i my pic gets shrunk. I have the 811 set at 420P and my pic on Dish HD is awesome. Is that why my OTA HD is not very good?

    OTA HD Question

Yes, I am looking at the digital OTA channels and DVI is the only connection from the 811 to the tv.

    OTA HD Question

I have an 811 connected to a Panasonic 30" widescreen HDTV. They are connected via a DVI cable. Here is my question. My HD picture on Dish is great but my OTA HD pic is not much better than SD. My signals on OTA are in the 90s. I know everything on the networks are not HD but the ones that are...

    FROM DISH: New 942 Information

Carl, I agree with you. If I do not have an S video output to go to my DVD-R its no good to me. I know it is a DVR but if I record something I want to keep for good I want to burn it to a DVD.

    Is it Owned or Leased

There is nothing about DHP on my bill and I am only paying for America 120,HD,Locals, and the receiver in my sons bedroom, no extra $5.00. What about the installer does he have anything to do with this?

    Is it Owned or Leased

I got my 811 in January of this year as a new customer. When I got it Dish was offering the 811 for $49.95 down with a $49.95 rebate. I am considering upgrading to the 921. I called Dish and they stated I owned the 811 and could sell it if I wanted when I purchased the 921. I am not sure I trust...

    811 to 921 install

I have read and the more I read the more confused I get. Please pardon my ignorance but I do have 2 questions. 1) I purchased my 811 and Superdish as a new customer Jan of this year for the $49.95 down and $49.95 rebate. If I upgrade to 921 I assume I have to return the 811. Is this correct...

    hdmi to dvi vs. component

I just switched from component to DVI-HDMI. I am using a cable not an adapter and I can tell a big difference especially in SD channels. I am going from the 811 to a Panasonic 30" HD widescreen. Also I did not pay the $120.00 Circuit City wanted for the cable. I bought mine for $20.00 off Ebay...

    811 replacement

The replacement I received was a new model, as least newer than what I had. It had the new DishPro logo on it. Also if you look at the poll that was done on here a few weeks back you will see the majority of people that had theirs replaced saw no improvement at all.

    Is 811 worth it?

If you are looking for OTA reception from the 811 BE AWARE. As you can see many people who have the 811(myself included) have horrible results using the 811 as an OTA receiver.

    811 replacement

I just had mine replaced. I approached it from another angle. I explained how dissapointed I was and how my 811 was a peice of junk and I was not taking no for an answer. They sent it out second day air. I do have to say the second one was no better than the first one.

    Expectations of the 811

I called tech support today and explained my problems. Her answer was "so your 811 has problems?" I replied "don't they all?" and told her I wanted to be transferred to someone who knows something. She transferred me to a high level tech who explained that many of the 811s have no problems at...
