Just a what if type of question, but what if you pointed a dish 500 plus with a single lnbf to each wa slot. Would that increase the signal. Of course you would have 3 different odus and a 44sw or 33sw would be needed but would that bring it up any?

Don't really think a lightening strike to a dish that is grounded or ungrounded. Both systems will fry and any person holding the cable. Just my thoughts. House power is 120v lightening is what 1million plus? just leave the cable in i'd be more worried about high winds causing static to build up...

Here's a 1000.2 dish does the same as a 1000.4 might want to call dish and find out which they require in your area. Both are capable of hitting both arcs. Both bring in hd. So its just a question of locals. In my area we can use the 110 sd 129 hd or the 61.5 hd and I think the 72.7 for sd...

The dish 500 plus super dish is sd but if you add another lnb to the other side of the bigger lnb it turns it into the 1000 plus super dish. Which would then make it hd/sd also a 44switch is needed

You could try pointing your dish 500 to the 72.7 & 61.5 orbitals. Not sure if it would work i hear it can. Worth a shot. But im not sure what orbital is needed fir your locals.

Works great on my hopper joeys if its not working on yours you might need to make sure its enabled on the joeys.

It will go between normal and letterbox if its on a HD channel. Normal should fill up the screen. And you change format with the star button/bottom left.

You can tell your dvr to record with out a sling adapter you only need the sling to view remotely.
