Help with a Joey connected by WiFi experiencing intermittent pixelation, audio dropouts and stutteri

I would try a new router. Just updated my 5 year old "n" router for an asus "n" router (rt-n66r or something like that). I'm not running any joeys wirelessly (yet) but oh man everything on my network runs faster/smoother. Just because it's "n" doesn't mean it has the processor power/performance...

    Additional Joey - ethernet only?

Yes, lots of people do this. It is not officially supported by dish, however. Your hopper must be connected to Ethernet also. Either directly or with an HIC. Edit: forgot to mention,if your ADDING a Joey, I believe the Joey must initially be Powered on and allowed to update and do its stuff on...

    No optical output

My vizio 47" xvt series, before I bought a new receiver, was connected that way. Sat box to tv via hdmi, Xbox to tv via hdmi, wdtv to tv via hdmi, and had to use the optical out from the tv to the receiver since optical was the only way besides coaxial to get digital into the old receiver. TV...

    Search problem

Yes, it should be fixed within 24 hours. One hopper may have downloaded the info immediately, but it usually takes "up to" 24 hours.

What a fiasco with ordering a Hopper from Dish Depot.

Ordered my hopper w/ sling from them about a month ago.. Great customer service, fast shipping, and got it during the Easter sale $179 shipped! I'm sure they will clear things up quickly.

    How to Add A Hopper

I believe that's only when you first order the hopper system. You don't have to do that to add a second hopper. They were just going to let me add a hopper with sling to my current 1 hopper, 2 joey setup, but maybe it's because I had a 2nd joey? What you can do to avoid that, is to buy the...

    How to Add A Hopper

I have a dpp 1000.2 dish. 110, 119, and 129 are all on one dish for me. When you take the lnb off the front of the dish, there are four ports (on mine anyways) labeled 1-3 and lnb in, with a solo node, only 1 and 2 are connected to 1 and 2 on the solo node. when you add a duo, you connect 1,2...

    How to Add A Hopper

I just ordered a duo node from eBay $33.00, ordered a hopper with sling from dish depot for $179 (Easter Sunday sale, they're normally $199), ran a third line from dish to the duo node myself, connected hopper, waited for it to do all its updates, pulled up dish chat and they added the hopper to...

    Hopper/Broadband/MoCA Question

If you have bridging enabled you should not have Ethernet connected to any other hoppers/joeys except for the one with bridging enabled. I believe it would cause ip conflicts unless the software has been updated to use one over the other. I've never tried it, but have heard of people who have...

    Hopper/Broadband/MoCA Question

It should if you enable "bridging" on the hopper that is connected to the Internet. Bridging is disabled by default, I believe. It was on mine.
