If we own VIP222k receiver with the Welcome Package (without the HD dish), can we still get our local stations on HD?

Depends on what channels you want, the price and the service. A lot of folks I know switch from Direct/Dish back to cable to get the bundle deals and a few had problems with cable customer service for refusing to do the work when they suppose to.

I once want to cancel Dish since my favorite channel went to Direct and Cable TV and worry about climbing up to get the LNB. There is no way to get it since the installer did a bad choice installing the Dish very badly (high high high) and a few technician did some work on my Dish complaining...

With KBS added in Sept, the lowest price should be atleast $30+. It is a better deal on TV rather than renting at the video store except the new programs are 3-6 weeks old on TV with English sub on the soap opera.

I have the Welcome Package. If I send one of the receivers back to Dish Network (currently I got 2 receivers, sharing 4 TV), will this affect the Welcome Package???

Get the guy name, worker ID, car license and report him to Direct TV, police dept for scam. Bad installer. If you are Korean, he is not, racist guy targeting smart customer they thought they could scam.

The sad part is no notification the channel will be gone 1-7 days in advance.

LA will be avaliable forever since Korean population is very high with all other stations buying timeslot to air select programming. SF, gone soon.

If you live in LA, SF, it is free on cable or OTA. Seattle, you can pay for it. Some cities carry limited KBS shows OTA station. Since KBS is no longer free, the OTA station in SF might be gone soon. LA still exist since MBC has a free OTA station airing programs 3-4 months old and SBS airs 3...

Expect price increase soon when 1 extra station is added in.

Shame on Dish for putting off the plug and KBS trying to gain profit adding onto Direct TV Korean pay package without letting Dish viewers know a day, a week or anytime beforehand. The station will be included in the Korean package, Direct TV this Saturday. If you live in SF, LA and get OTA...
