It runs on initial setup. This sporadic working/not working thing is - I'm sure - part of the reason a duo node isn't supported. It makes sense that if the voltage is incorrect that people are seeing different things.

According to DISH corporate, yes a Duo Node requires power from both Hoppers for the entire node to fully function. The SJ doesn't provide the same power output as a Hopper, so it will not function properly.

Nope. Every time. Tap the FFWD button once and it skips about 10 minutes on the timeline (and in the episode, obviously).

Has anyone run into the issue where when watching a recording (not while paused), pressing the fast forward button once skips a large amount of time. Happens with 2 separate Joeys, does NOT happen on the HWS. Any ideas?

It's very easy to do. And when you "swap" it brings up a little sidebar similar to the recall button, listing the four shows you're watching. I haven't experimented with it much, but is pretty seamless.

Yea, I spoke with someone on the DNS forums about it, got it all clarified now.

I forget what DirecTV calls it, but allows you to pause one channel, "swap" to another channel with up to 4 channels. My only complaint is that it uses the PiP swap button.
